5 Day Banking: CLC calls DFS, IBA for meeting to discuss on 5 Day Banking

The Chief Labour Commissioner has called DFS Secretary, IBA Chairman and MD&CEO of all PSU Banks to meeting on 22.01.2026. The purpose of meeting is to hold discussions on implementation of 5 Day Banking.


Earlier, a meeting was held between IBA and UFBU on 14.01.2026 to discuss on implementation of 5 Day Banking. The talks failed and UFBU announced to proceed on strike. Now, CLC has once again invited DFS and IBA Chairman to discuss on the issue of implementation of 5 Day Banking.

UFBU Should decide to go on strike for week long and months together
Why for IBA, WHY DFS? WHY MOF?
When other Institutions are enjoying 5 day working what the hell the Poor Bank Employees have done?
One Should remember that, Bank Employees are responsible for the Nation Economic Condition
