More than Rs.1 crore fraud in 400 Farmers Bank accounts in Gwalior

A case of defrauding more than Rs 1 crore from about 400 farmers of Barauni has come to light.

Hundreds of farmers of village Sijora, Gughsi of Barauni area submitted a memorandum to Deputy Collector Bhumija Saxena in the Collectorate on Tuesday.

Farmers told that the online kiosk center in the village is run by Pran Singh Rawat. He has committed fraud in collaboration with Gram Panchayat Assistant Secretary Satyendra Ahirwar, resident of Kurthara.

Both of them first asked to do KYC of PM and CM Kisan Samman Nidhi and took other documents including Aadhar-PAN card and opened accounts of Fino Bank and India Post Payment Bank and kept customer’s ATM card and passbook with themselves.

Aadhaar card was also linked to fake bank accounts. Farmers allege that the kiosk operator and the assistant secretary defrauded them due to which the assistance amount received from the government and the amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi started getting deposited in Fino and India Post Payment Bank accounts.
