31 year old Bank Manager committed suicide in Haryana
A 31-year-old relationship manager (RM) of a private bank in Panipat, Haryana, has tragically taken his own life by swallowing poison under suspicious circumstances. The incident occurred on Thursday evening in the New Dalbir Nagar Colony, where the manager, Sonu, was found in a critical condition by his family members. They rushed him to the hospital, but he passed away shortly after.
The police have registered a case under sections of death under suspicious circumstances. The family has alleged that Sonu’s wife often insisted on visiting her maternal home, which led to domestic discord and may have contributed to his decision to take his life. According to reports, while being taken to the hospital, Sonu was heard telling his father, “I told you, Papa, save me, but no one understood my problem. I was very upset.”
Sonu, who got married in January 2019, was the father of two children and had been working as an RM at a private bank. His family members have stated that they are unsure of the exact reason behind his suicide, though they did not blame anyone directly.
Sonu’s brother, Monu, shared that Sonu had frequent quarrels with his in-laws, and the tension often led to scuffles. On the evening of the incident, Sonu was reportedly in a room with his wife, Ritu. After some time, Ritu came out and informed the family that Sonu had consumed poison. When the family reached his room, they found foam coming out of his mouth, and he was vomiting. They immediately took him to a private hospital, where Sonu expressed his distress to his father during the journey.
Monu believes that Sonu’s in-laws had been harassing him since his marriage, and his wife’s insistence on visiting her parents may have added to the strain, leading to his tragic decision. Colleagues at the bank, where Sonu had recently completed a task and received a reward, revealed that he was set to go on a vacation to Goa this month, a trip arranged by the bank in recognition of his hard work. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Sonu’s death.
