  1. She took right decision at right time. She still hve enough opportunity to change over a new job or business. Work culture in PNB is really toxic, As a credit incharge she may be unable to late sitting, npa recoveries and other related works. I hve served in PNB for 38 years and know abt the work culture.

    1. And during those 38 years of service by you in PNB, you would have made noteworthy contribution towards improving the work culture! Right?

  2. My dear sister vani u not have will power .life is not easy as u see don’t give up. Stand up and do some that not u think.

  3. GOI to think on removal of women from workchain and bring a change to toxic work culture.

Mindset of PSU banks work culture tobe changed. It is high time.

  4. Well done Vaani ji.. it’s best that u took the right decision quickly so as to save your self!!! As many r still stuck and unable to save themselves due to many commitments

  5. You have made a right decision. I have done the same thing in 2022 and now enjoying the peaceful life. I was also working in PNB and left it after 9 years .

    1. The decision is hasty and mental peace is the subject of understanding who am I and no force in this world can make you unhappy unless you give opportunity to be unhappy
I put in 39 years in PNB and enjoyed working

      1. Sir, mujhe apna number do. Mai apko देसी शब्दों se abuse karunga. Fir aap unhappy na hona. Because ‘no force in this world can make you unhappy unless you give opportunity to be unhappy’.
This is what’s happening in banks with employees now a days.

  6. Vaani, I truly respect your decision, but I would like to share a perspective from my own experience. In large organisations like banks, with thousands of employees, it is natural to come across a few toxic individuals, but that should not be mistaken as the overall work culture of the institution. I too had some bitter experiences due to certain individuals, yet in other postings the same organisation provided me with wonderful colleagues, supportive seniors, and a very positive environment. My humble advice would be to focus on differentiating between the culture of the organisation and the conduct of a few people, because while individuals may come and go, the organisation as a whole continues to provide opportunities, safeguards, and a platform for growth.

    1. Dear Bipin ji
It’s not the matter of some toxic people in organisation actually it’s happening because of overburden of work and expecting completion of diversified task from a single person, bankers are doing everything except banking, why are we selling insurance, Mutualfunds, why only employee who does insurance only, gets every promotion and desired transfers and why not other who making auca recovery, level of talking to junior has deteriorated in banks ,in meetings abusing has become very common ,work life balance is a dream, moreover one has to deal stubborn customer everyday and after public hours has to sit late to complete other task given by regional office.
And salary is also a matter, how much a bank earns from an employee and how much an employee is paid it must be calculated .
Suppose a banker gets promotion and get a salary hike of 10k but due to his her promotion he posted to a far off place where his,her expenses increase to 20k than what’s the benefit of such promotion
Whole life I have been doing this in my bank job and now my savings are not more than 10 lacs than what’s the use of giving so much time and taking so much pain for our beloved family with whom I can not see for months.

  7. It is really very difficult to work in banks especially in PNB, in officers cadre as there are so many undue pressures. If you get some other job in teachings, it would be better to change the job for peaceful life.

  8. I left job as scale three manager from Bank of Maharashtra after six years of service due to unpleasant posting and no life work balance . I shifted to Canada and enjoying bank job with dignity.

  9. Even I faced a lot of harassment from my reporting authority..when I complained against her, all they did was issue an advisory..that too after 4 months..this is disgusting & inhumane..

  10. The reason for your decision appears to be personal. Banking is an opportunity to understand and service the society. Most of the times customers express and thank the staff for the services rendered and the value is immeasurable.

  11. I m also working in a reputed bank…same situation of toxic work culture m facing every day…I glad that she take a right decision… But I m in that situation right now … I have not in position to leave the job
Because my parents my family wholly depends on me…it my complasion to continue job…
