On Wednesday afternoon, panic spread at the Punjab National Bank branch on Bank Road in Gorakhpur. A 10-foot-long python suddenly entered the premises. Bank employees and customers were frightened, and many started running to save their lives. Someone quickly informed the forest department.

A forest department team reached the bank soon after. It took them almost two hours to capture the python. Later, they released it safely into a nearby forest. People at the bank said they were terrified when they saw the snake and ran to protect themselves.
DFO Vikas Yadav said that more wild animals are now entering crowded parts of the city. He explained that recent floods, loss of green areas, and shortage of food are forcing wildlife to move into the city.

The DFO added that this problem is not limited to one area and that people should stay alert. He urged citizens not to panic and to immediately inform the forest department so that animals can be rescued safely and accidents can be avoided.
Dr. Yogesh Pratap Singh, Chief Medical Officer of Gorakhpur Zoo, also raised concern. He advised people not to leave garbage or food in the open near their homes. This will help reduce wildlife entering the city and will also protect animals from harm.
