The Union Bank of India has increased clerk recruitment vacancies from 600 to 1500. The revised indent has now been sent to IBPS for the upcoming clerk recruitment process.
Earlier, the Bank had planned to recruit only 600 clerks. The unions and staff strongly opposed this, saying the number was too low and did not match the real staffing requirement of branches across India. They argued that the bank was facing shortages and needed more staff to function smoothly
Recently, Mr. Asheesh Pandey, has been appointed as new MD&CEO of Union Bank of India. On request of unions and staff, now the Bank has approved an indent of 1500 clerk posts, which will be filled through IBPS.
