SBI: Police takes action against customer who submitted fake documents to take personal loan from SBI

Haryana: A case involving fraudulent acquisition of a loan from the State Bank of India branch in Jagadhri, using fake documents from the Education Department, has been revealed. The accused in this case has been identified as Mohan, residing in Pioda village in Kaithal.

Fraudulent Loan Application:

The accused submitted counterfeit ID proof and a payment slip to the bank, resulting in the approval of a Rs 14 lakh loan. Simrit Kaur, manager of Dimple Cinema near the State Bank of India branch, filed a complaint against the accused, leading to the registration of a case by the Sector 17 police station.

Details from the Complaint:

In 2022, Mohan Singh from Peyoda village, Kaithal, applied for a personal loan, claiming employment in the education department. He provided documents related to his job, including allegedly forged ID proof and a payment slip issued by the Principal of Government High School, Chandakhedi, for the period from May 2022 to October 2022. Additionally, a service book copy was submitted, listing the temporary address as 55/6 Sushant City Jagadhri. The accused, in the bank statement, indicated his salary being credited to the Sainik Shiksha School account.

Loan Issuance and Non-payment:

Following document verification, the accused was granted a Rs 14 lakh personal loan on October 1, 2022. Despite initially paying installments for some time, the accused later refused to deposit any further payments. Investigation revealed that there is no teacher with the accused’s name at the provided address, and the submitted documents were found to be fake.

Legal Actions:

In response to the complaint, the Sector 17 police station has registered a fraud case against accused Mohan and initiated an investigation.
