SBI Employees Donate ₹37.16 Lakh to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund in Telangana


In a heartfelt show of support for India’s armed forces, employees of the State Bank of India (SBI), Hyderabad Circle, donated ₹37.16 lakh to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund in Telangana. This fund is dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, war widows, and their families.

Cheque Presented to Telangana Governor

Rajesh Kumar, the Chief General Manager (CGM) of SBI, Hyderabad Circle, personally handed over the cheque for ₹37.16 lakh to Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, who also serves as the chairperson of the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Col. Ramesh Kumar, Director of Sainik Welfare (Telangana), Jitendra Kumar Sharma, Deputy General Manager & Chief Development Officer, SBI, and Captain Sanjay Apage, Chief Security Officer.

Governor Praises SBI Employees

During the event, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma praised SBI employees for their generosity and commitment to supporting the armed forces. He stated that such initiatives inspire other organizations and individuals to contribute toward the welfare of soldiers and their families.

Rajesh Kumar emphasized SBI’s dedication to social responsibility, explaining that the bank and its employees firmly believe in giving back to society. He noted that contributing to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund is one way SBI fulfills its responsibility to the community and the nation.

Highlighting the bank’s reputation, Rajesh Kumar mentioned that SBI is ranked as the fourth most trusted bank in the world. He also pointed out that the Hyderabad Circle has 1,204 branches, demonstrating SBI’s extensive presence and dedication to serving local communities.
