PNB Officer Found Dead in Panipat Apartment; Cause Under Investigation

A Punjab National Bank (PNB) officer, Ajay Srivastava, was found dead in his apartment at Harmony Homes Society in Panipat. His body was discovered in a highly decomposed state, making identification difficult. The incident came to light when neighbors noticed a foul smell coming from the closed room and alerted the police.

Body Found in Decomposed Condition

Ajay Srivastava, an officer at PNB in Panipat, had not been reporting to work for several days. His phone calls went unanswered, and his apartment remained locked. Concern grew among the residents when a strong odor started spreading from his room. They immediately contacted the police control room by dialing 112.

Upon receiving the information, police reached the location and took necessary action. The body was sent to the civil hospital in an ambulance provided by Kapil Malhotra, the founder of Shri Mahakal Janseva Dal. The body has been kept in the mortuary after completing the initial formalities.

Ajay Srivastava was originally from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He lived in room number 505 of the R-1 block at Harmony Homes Society. Colleagues and neighbors were concerned as he had been missing from work and unreachable for several days before his body was found.
