Japan raises Interest Rate to 0.75% – Highest in Last 30 Years

The Bank of Japan has raised interest rates on Friday to the highest in three decades. The central bank has raised short-term interest rates to 0.75% from 0.5% by a unanimous vote. This is the highest interest rate in last 30 years. The move takes Japan’s interest rates above 0.5% for the first time since 1995.
