Bank staff beaten by customer in his home for Loan recovery

The collection officer of IndusInd Bank in Bijnor was called by customer to his home for collection of EMI and physically assaulted. The police have filed a report against four individuals, all of whom are now on the run. IndusInd Bank’s collection officer in Bijnor, Vikas Pal, reported the incident to the police.

He explained that a loan in the name of Shamsida and Sons was being operated from his bank as a JGB (Joint Liability Group) loan. To collect the installment, he had contacted Mohammad Sajid, a resident of Bhagwala. Sajid called him to his home for collection of EMI of 59,000 rupees.

It is alleged that, over a minor dispute, Sajid, along with his brother and several others, attacked bank staff with sticks.

Upon receiving the information, the relatives of Bank staff took him to a hospital near Najibabad and admitted him.

In response to the incident report, CEO Gajendra Pal Singh and Mandawali Police Station Chief Surendra Pal Singh arrived at the scene. Based on Vikas’s statement, the police have registered a case against Haji Sajid, Wajid, Mohsin, and an unknown individual. The accused individuals are currently evading arrest.
