The Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued an order to maintain the status quo regarding part-time workers at the Gramin Bank. Judge Ajay Mohan Goyal’s court ruled that the bank cannot remove these workers from their positions. The division bench of the state High Court had previously issued a ban on the removal of part-time workers in the Gramin Bank on March 29, 2019.

Despite this, the Gramin Bank proceeded to remove some employees from service. The petitioner’s legal team filed an application in court, stating that part-time workers were still being dismissed, even after the court’s ban. After hearing both sides, the High Court disposed of the application and reaffirmed its order, instructing that no part-time employees should be removed. The court also directed that action be taken against any official found violating this order.
