Haryana Government Announces DA and DR Hike for Employees and Pensioners

On Wednesday, the Haryana government announced an increase in the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners. The DA and DR have been raised from 53% to 55% of their basic pay, providing financial relief to both active employees and retirees.

This increase will take effect from January 1, 2025, as confirmed by an official statement. The updated DA and DR will be reflected in the salaries and pensions paid in April 2025.

Additionally, employees and pensioners will receive arrears for the period from January 2025 to March 2025. These arrears will be paid out in May 2025, ensuring that those affected by the delay receive the full amount owed.

This move by the Haryana government is aimed at helping employees and pensioners cope with inflation and rising living costs, ensuring they have better financial support moving forward.
