Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) workers held a protest, or dharna, after accusing the bank branch manager of mistreating farmers. The protest started when Ramzani, a farmer from Naraini village, went to the State Bank of India branch in Kotwali Dehat to inquire about his Kisan Credit Card. BKU workers joined him at the bank to get information about the card. According to the workers, when they asked the branch manager for help, he misbehaved with them and asked them to leave the bank.

This led to an argument between the workers and the branch manager. In response to the manager’s actions, the BKU workers sat on a dharna outside the bank, demanding that the issue be addressed. The protest was led by Block President Chaudhary Baljit Singh.

As the protest grew, the workers raised slogans and expressed their anger. They believed that the branch manager’s behavior was disrespectful to the farmers. The situation was resolved later in the evening, around 6 pm, when both the BKU workers and the branch manager came to an agreement. The branch manager assured the farmers that their concerns would be taken seriously and that any problems they faced would be resolved. After the assurance, the protest ended.

The branch manager, however, denied all the allegations of misbehavior. He stated that he did not mistreat anyone and instead claimed that it was the BKU workers who were being rude to him. He also said that the workers did not even ask about the Kisan Credit Card, which had originally brought them to the bank.
