A 29-year-old youth, Naresh alias Chhotu Yogi, tragically took his own life in the Kolaras police station area of Shivpuri district. Naresh, a resident of Ward No. 07, was found hanging from a beam in his own house. His suicide is believed to be linked to the financial pressure of loans he had taken from two banks.
A suicide note was found at the scene, which mentioned the loans as a possible reason for his drastic decision. Sources suggest that Naresh, who had been struggling with the mental stress of repaying the debt, felt overwhelmed by his situation. He was also due to get married on April 20 next month, adding further emotional strain.
At the time of the incident, Naresh’s elder brother and his wife were away at a relative’s house, celebrating Holi. Only Naresh’s father and his brother’s two children were at home, with the children sleeping in a room downstairs. Naresh had returned from the shop at around 8 p.m. the previous evening and went to his room upstairs. The following morning, when his father opened the door, he discovered Naresh’s lifeless body hanging from the noose.
Upon receiving the report, the Kolaras police quickly arrived at the scene, took down the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the full reasons behind Naresh’s tragic decision.
