Bank Peon new duties as per 12th Bipartite Settlement

Dear friends, 12th Bipartite Settlement has been signed on 8th March with 17% hike in salary for bank employees. In this settlement, the name and duties of clerks, special assistants and peon have changes. The new name and duties of bank peons are given below. Click here to read new duties of Bank Clerks. As per the 12th BPS, now Bank peon will be known as Office Assistant.

Bank Peon new duties

Subordinate Staff/ Office Assistant may be assigned all the normal and routine duties of the cadre and for performance of which no special pay is payable. The following duties shall also be part of the duties of subordinate staff/Office Assistant.

• To take money orders, to buy stamps etc., which involves carrying of cash not exceeding Rs.5,000/- and to carry insured letters., etc. to post office
• To pack currency note bundles
• To pack and seal parcels and packets containing currency notes;
• To accompany transit cash from the bank to an office outside or vice versa.
