Recently, a lot of cases of harassment of women employees have come to light. Women are being harassed by their senior and even denied leaves. As per 12th BPS, Women can take 1 day leave without submitting medical certificate. But still, some Branch Heads are forcing women employees to submit medical certificate.

Not only this, it has also been reported that women employees are being monitored by branch Heads via CCTV cameras installed in branches. This is really not acceptable and violated the basic principles of privacy.

Moreover, it has been reported that some branches don’t have separate washrooms for women employees in Banks. AIBEA has raised these issues with IBA and has requested authorities to resolve these issues at the earliest.

If any women Bank employee feels harassment at work, then she can file complaint with higher authorities and contact AIBEA helpline. Everyone has the right to work with dignity and Harassment should be stopped.
