“We’re seeing less activity in the morning and evening but much more around noon,” says Bob Pishue, the author of the report. One trend that perfectly illustrates this change is “coffee badging,” where employees briefly check into the office before heading out again. A survey by Owl Labs, found that 58% of hybrid workers practice this, showing a clear preference for flexibility rather than spending long hours at the office.

David Satterwhite, CEO of Chronus, points out that many employees now only come to the office when absolutely necessary. Their personal time is more valuable than ever, and for many, office presence is no longer essential for productivity.
